“Lose your mind and come to your senses.” ― Frederick Salomon Perls (~1960s)

This is the motto I work by. I'm in the gaming industry because I want to create my own unique games and have fun while doing it. There's no need to work from a book or a guide because you're limiting your creativeness and mind. Let it explore, and if you lose your mind, come to your senses and fix it.

Hey, my name is Tom and I am a game developer who has made multiple games ranging from 2D bullet hells to 3D realistic platformers. Currently I am working on Murderdome as 3D artist under Team Unicorn. I specialise in 3D, but have a good amount of experience in design, texturing, concept and programming. I have a good knowledge of Unity, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, 3dsMax, Mudbox and Blender. I feel strongest in Blender, Unity and Photoshop, but I am a very adaptive learner. Over everything I prioritise the teams goals over my own to help make a great product.

Graphics and design have always been a huge passion. To me if something looks good, it attracts more attention. This can be in the form of a good, clean logo, to a great art style. I have a vast amount of knowledge in Photoshop, been able to use hundreds of different brushes and tools to produce the best piece of work possible. I also have skills in Unity’s 2D and User Interface capabilities. I have the ability to adapt to new styles and create artwork from written ideas using different mediums. If you need graphics I can provide!

Programming is my speciality, and it's one of the parts of the process I enjoy the most. It's fairly simple when it comes down to it. I've worked in C# and JavaScript, and have been getting into C++ a little at a time. My engines of choice are Unity and Unreal. I also dabble in the odd bit of 3D work, which used to be what I was most capable of. My tools of the trade are Blender, Photoshop and Illustrator in that regard. I also like collecting games. Nothing to do with developing them; I just like collecting them.

Ever since I was young I became fascinated with the inner workings of games design, its mechanics and how it’s structured. For the last 4 years I’ve dedicated myself to joining this industry with the intention to bring my own ideas to the table. While studying I have learnt how to effectively plan and design an Independent title, whilst also being able to program within Unity using C#. It is with these tools that I can now craft my own games and give back to an industry that has given so much to me.
